If you are wondering how to download fonts, chances are you have never done so before or you have had difficulties when downloading fonts. If you are a designer, you will want to make sure to be a little extra organized when downloading fonts if you plan to use them often. I recommend installing the OTF version of the font when available, otherwise download the TTF version.

How to install a font on Mac. To install a font on Mac follow the following steps: Make sure to unpack the zipped folder. Go to the folder with the fonts and double click on either the OTF or TTF font file (we always recommend the OTF file). After you double click a window will open with a preview of the font and a small button at the bottom. Zip files are just a way to compress multiple files into one single folder file making it possible to send, receive and download a single file rather than multiple files. When unzipped the zip folder typically contains multiple files and/or folders of files. - Drag and Drop your font (.otf or .ttf format) into Fonts Manager or Copy and Paste your font into Fonts Manager
- To download the Cricut Design Space for Android, follow the steps below. Tap on the Google Play Store icon on your device home screen to open the Play Store. Search for Cricut Design Space. The Cricut Design Space app appears as a white square with a green Cricut 'C' logo in the center. Tap the Install button to download and install the app.
- Download the font file to your computer. Unzip and install the font to add to your computer system fonts. Next, pull up a canvas in Cricut Design Space. Helpful Tip for Designers: in Font Book you will want to find the category to the left you would like to install your font and select it (this is very helpful if you are a designer who needs extra categories like commercial use, personal use, and frequently used fonts but you will need to play around with it and make sure you enable or disable your options when needed).
Another Tip for Designers: I have had problems in the past with duplicate fonts. An easy way to keep your downloaded fonts from causing problems is by creating a Folder to drop them into and THEN pulling the font from that folder into Font Book.
